about

46 minutes of exclusive digital only release by Dead Voices On Air. This release is unavailable elsewhere. Exclusive to this site.

Propeller, Beehatched is a 46 minute continuous collage made out of the sounds created by Mark Spybey that were then sent to Phil Western for the two Beehatch records, released on Lens Records in 2008. All of the sounds were made by Spybey and added to for this release. At times it sounds like The Residents got hold of Spybey’s tapes from the Beehatch sessions. At other times it sounds like the Spybey of old: mangled vocals, distorted sounds from another place, ethnic rhythms and at others it sounds like the Spybey of now, distilled frozen landscapes, places of silence and contemplation. It’s compulsive, familiar listening for fans of Beehatch, Dead Voices On Air, Propeller and Download and it’s only available from this site. All of the profits from this release go directly to the artist. No middle-men and all of the profits will be ploughed back into the making of new music.
